I started the roof sheathing process and realized that I needed a simple fixture to aid in applying the individual roofing boards. The fixture has two spots for quickly cutting the roof boards. The picture show below.
I have started working on the underframe and found that I could use the view shown below to figure out the spacing of the crossbearers and bolster spacing. The next installment will share my approach.

If you have access to Green’s book “Refrigerator Car Color Guide”, there are some good photos of these WCLX cars. A couple show a little more details of the underbody frame construction like air brake equipment placement and crossbearer consruction.
